The Irrigation Technician will communicate directly with all departments in the company as well as outside customers and vendors. The candidate must show a high level of integrity, professionalism, and accuracy

  • Troubleshoot wire problems
  • Adjust Irrigation Controllers
  • Repair irrigation line breaks (i.e., lateral, main, etc.)

Field-Based Leadership Role | Bilingual Spanish/English.

C.G. Landscape is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) People & Safety Generalist who thrives in fast-paced field operations and is passionate about employee support, safety leadership, compliance, and building high-performing teams.

This highly visible role reports directly to the Director of People & Culture and supports 250+ field employees across multiple Southern California locations. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-driven, organized, and comfortable balancing both safety leadership and People & Culture responsibilities in a hands-on operational environment.

This position plays a critical role in fostering a culture of safety, accountability, operational consistency, and employee engagement throughout the organization. Success in this role includes reducing incidents, improving field compliance, strengthening employee engagement, and supporting operational excellence across all levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities

 Safety & Field Compliance 

  • Lead and support company-wide safety initiatives across landscape operations 
  • Conduct field safety inspections, job hazard analyses (JHAs), safety observations, and compliance audits 
  • Provide bilingual safety training on equipment use, PPE, heat illness prevention, driving safety, and safe work practices 
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries; identify root causes and implement corrective actions 
  • Maintain safety records, training documentation, and compliance reporting 
  • Promote a proactive culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement 

Workers’ Compensation & Employee Support 

  • Manage workers’ compensation claims in coordination with employees, supervisors, medical providers, and insurance carriers 
  • Support return-to-work and modified duty programs 
  • Assist employees with workplace concerns, policy questions, and People & Culture support 
  • Maintain employee documentation, performance records, and compliance-related files 

People & Culture Operations 

  • Support employee relations, coaching conversations, and policy enforcement 
  • Assist with leave administration, accommodations, and compliance processes 
  • Support payroll administration and certified payroll reporting as needed 
  • Help ensure compliance with California labor laws and workplace regulations 
  • Participate in process improvements, training initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and policy development 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English 
  • 3+ years of experience in safety coordination, HR generalist work, or a combined role 
  • Experience working in landscaping, construction, outdoor services, or other field-based operations 
  • Knowledge of Cal/OSHA and California employment laws 
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills 
  • Ability to build trust and maintain professionalism with employees at all levels 
  • Comfortable working both in the field and office environments 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or Train-the-Trainer certification 
  • Experience with workers’ compensation administration 
  • Experience supporting payroll or certified payroll processes 
  • Familiarity with UKG, Inova, or other HRIS/payroll systems 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Safety, Business Administration, or related field 

Work Environment & Schedule 

  • Field-based role with regular travel between job sites and company locations 
  • Assigned company vehicle provided for business-related travel 
  • Approximately 75–90% field work and 10–25% office work 
  • Early start times aligned with field operations (typically around 5:00 AM) 
  • Sporadic pre-scheduled Saturdays based on business needs 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Salary: $70,304 – $71,500 annually, depending on experience 
  • Quarterly bonus eligibility after 90 days
